ABC’s “Abbott Elementary” Star Quinta Brunson is gearing up to make her SNL Hosting debut and we cannot wait to watch!!
The Abbott Elementary creator and star is set to lead the NBC sketch comedy series April 1, marking its first new episode since Jenna Ortega hosted the show March 11. Brunson will be joined by musical guest Lil Yachty, who is also making his SNL debut. Per HR.
“It’s surreal. I’m just taking it day by day like I normally do because everything is so surreal nowadays but this one’s really exciting. SNL’ is the reason I even started pursuing comedy as a career, to be asked to host is just unreal. I can’t believe that I’m here and that it’s actually happening. It’s one of those ‘pinch yourself’ moments, for sure.” Via Variety.

Plot:
Abbott Elementary stars series creator Quinta Brunson, as well as Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Chris Perfetti, Lisa Ann Walter, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and William Stanford Davis. The story follows a group of dedicated, passionate teachers (as well as a slightly tone-deaf principal) as they navigate the Philadelphia public school system. Despite the odds stacked against them, the staff at Willard R. Abbott Public School is determined to help their students succeed in life. Though these public servants may be outnumbered and underfunded, they love what they do — even if they don’t love the school district’s less-than-stellar attitude toward educating children. The teachers include Janine Teagues (Brunson), Gregory Eddie (Williams), Melissa Schemmenti (Walter), Jacob Hill (Perfetti), and Barbara Howard (Ralph). Ava Coleman (James) is the school’s inept principal, and Mr. Johnson (Davis) is the eccentric janitor.
